Permitting organ donation: brain death criterion as the "point of no return" in the process of dying
di 2017-07-30
After considering authors who criticize the brain death criterion (Singer, Defanti and Shewmon), we will conclude that brain death criterion cannot be considered the death of human beings: this does not lead to ban organ transplants. On the contrary, brain death as the "point of no return" in the process of death should ethically considered as the requirement for performing transplants. continua...
Disoccupazione e dispersione scolastica

In creating an effective and positive work environment in which prospects for organizational well-being are sought, the ability to communicate, the capability to relate to "team spirit" and the widespread sense of responsibility towards goals shared all play an essential role. In these dynamics of individual and organizational empowerment, it is a matter of enhancing the work dimension in a spirit of participation and continuous comparison between different people in different professional roles, according to a horizontal approach where the keywords are sharing, engagement, sense of responsibility, motivation to act in the achievement of common goals and through human and professional relations based on mutual respect.

Teachers' digital behaviour and self-efficacy on digital skills: the outcomes of an empirical study
di Samuele Calzone e Laura Chellini 2017-07-30
The research is of an exploratory nature and constitutes an initial study phase describing the digital habits and behaviour of the teaching staff during the period in which the 2007-2013 PON was in effect in the Regions covered by the Convergence Objective (Calabria, Campania, Puglia e Sicilia). The present paper, taking the availability of ICTs as a necessary condition for the development of digital competencies in the classroom, offers a number of reflections on the relation between the perception of one’s own self-efficacy in the use of ICTs and the use of technology in personal didactic action. The observation of one’s perception of one’s own digital self-efficacy follows two lines of inquiry. On the one hand, what is measured is the level of faith that teachers have in their own professional competence. On the other, an articulation of digital competence in the main activities that are connected to it is suggested.

Lifelong learning inside Lerning Organization
di Roberto Orazi 2017-04-15
Every organization shall check an activity list in order to make profit; each activity is itself depending on a series of bonds (technology, assets, human resources, infrastructures...).  In-business Learning is an essential bond: without it business process could even decade till complete breakout. An organization must be intended as a group of people interacting between them, sharing a common action. The realization of the same goal can be achieved only if the group shares a common background of skills and knowledges, and can successfully exchange info: this is the truly base of learning organization theory.

The challenge of the Third Mission of Italian Universities: A new path for inclusive growth and the development of the person
di 2017-04-15

Schools and territory between network and community
di Stefania Capogna 2017-04-15
Educational agencies are going through a difficult transition period that is having important consequences in terms of de-legitimation of the social mandate historically assigned to school. The reason of this widespread uneasiness is due to the fact that today we are living in a complex system where traditional school cannot live in an isolation anymore. The following contribution arises within this problematic framework with the aim of outlining the most important changing patterns that have been affecting education agencies in the last fifteen years, paying attention to the new institutional and legislative Italian framework that redefined the whole educational structure in coherence to supranational agreements such as the Bologna Process (EHEA,1999).  The objective of this essay is to contribute to the development of a new vision of the education system. Starting from the challenges of a global and complex society, we are going to reflect on the value of networking as an instrument to cultivate the responsible participation of the educating community and the necessity to adequate internal competences and coordinating mechanisms.

di Sara Stabile, Emma Pietrafesa, Rosina Bentivenga, Benedetta Persechino, Sergio Iavicoli 2017-01-01
The success factors of any policy on Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) depend on the effectiveness and efficiency of the communication channels and tools used to achieve all the stakeholders. Today even in OSH sector the new communication channels such as Internet, online applications and social networks can represent a wide range of tools which could making more appropriate communicative and information processes and training. On  the last July the New Protocol State Regions 2016, related to the duration and minimum content of the training courses for managers and staff of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP/ ASPP) in Italian OSH sector, has expanded the use of the teaching and learning methodology online, better defying technical, organizational and managerial requirements. The use of ICT is becoming more and more an important precondition for access to information and opportunities for personal, professional and business advance and progress.

Like a bridge over troubled waters. About intercultural communication for multicultural-multiethnic societies.
di Pierfranco Malizia 2017-01-01
The paper come out from a series of thoughts tending to go along the path of some of the principal problems of the relationship with the Other (in particular, ”the Stranger-Other”), the kind of relationship that today, in a territory of globalized  societies and actually always more multiethnic – multicultural but that only relatively they recognize themselves and act as such, it can totally favour or invalidate the same possibility of multiculturalism. Communication, in particular interpersonal communication, cannot be anything else that a fundamental element for a real relationship with the Other; it is certainly a matter that cannot be exhaustible in an essay of limited dimensions as the one that follow. Starting from the assumption (probably shareable) that the intercultural communication problematic doesn't certainly reside in the “tongue” as such, but it resides in the “language/s”, in a more complete sense of the term, that come to meet/collide, or in the culture structural connotations (semiotic, symbolic, valuable, etc.), the reasoning is based on some basic logics of communicative acting, in its aspects (besides absolutely inter co-related and interdependent) of “transmission” and “relation”.

Education and training systems vs undeclared work and shadow economy, challenge accepted.
di Gabriella Gliozzi 2017-01-01
Deciding to work illegally today, regardless of whether it's the only choice or a personal choice, it means condemn oneself and become trapped in an enclosed scheme, which hinders progress and personal development. But the black economy has a strong impact on the lives of others: the community and the State in fact are suffering the effects of the shadow economy and undeclared work, which slow the development and economic growth. The shadow economy and the undeclared work touch the economic relations in production systems and the balance between demand and supply of labor. In this way there is a disadvantage both from the side of the workers, who are then forced to give up the rights, protections and income, and the companies, because they must face up a type of unfair competition that primes a series of chain reactions and producing social dumping and threatens the sustainability of national financial systems. Instead the development of culture of legality and knowledge and personal skills could save us from the abyss of the shadow economy. Indeed a well-trained and aware citizen of its own shares represents the true potential of a nation as well as the opportunity for himself to have a chance to join into the regular market.

di Savina Cellamare 2017-01-01
The involvement of teachers in training is essential to produce an expansion of their professionalism and an improvement of the education service. Juego tradicional vs. Videojuego
di 2017-01-01

Teaching history, educating to memory. June 2, 1946. The Republic of the italian women and men arises.
di Carlo Felice Casula 2016-10-30
70 years ago, on the 2nd of June 1946, the Italian Republic raised with an institutional referendum. Moreover, a constituent assembly was elected to write the Constitution of a new democratic and social State, not more mono-gender and mono-class. The Constitution was approved on the December 1947 and became law on the 1st of January 1948, after an intense but collaborative debate between the antifascists parties. Keeping in consideration the recent facts of the referendum of the 4th December 2016 on the constitutional reform, occurred in a climate of contrast, the author examines the extraordinary participation of the italian men and women, for the first time called to vote, after the epochal tragedy of the second world war. The author makes also an in-depth reconstruction of the modern and advanced contents of the Constitution, which establishes the co-presence and the interrelation among civil, politic and social rights. The figure of the historian avoids the stereotypes and the general interpretative categories, for the inescapable analysis of differences and contexts. However, in order to understand the present of the past, it should be useful to return to the foundative moment of our democratic institutions.

The woman in the family and at work in contemporary society
di Savina Cellamare e Francesca Giangregorio 2016-10-30
The social role of women is undoubtedly changed over time. These changes result in a new female identity and take on new psychosocial meanings, both for the women themselves and for their life contexts. The results of investigations conducted over the past ten years provide an interesting picture of this evolution and suggest reflections to achieve a social objective of great importance, what is gender equality, to which the European Community has devoted increasing attention.
