The article starts from some solicitations of Pope Francis regarding the urgency of a new ecological thought, which permeates culture and education tout court, and of a new vision of the human person that is characterized by its tension to recognize in the "other" a brother. In particular, it focuses on the pedagogical aspect and on how important the school is for the formation of a new man and a new, more open and inclusive society. In dealing with these subjects, this article of mine will attempt to analyze some of the issues we consider basic. Basic in prospecting a kind of schooling suitable for our times, and basic in defining a place of education within an ever-evolving society based on equality and respect for the person.
