Industry 4.0 and occupational safety and health: a model for analysing organisational resilience in the use of collaborative robots

The implementation of advanced manufacturing solutions in companies makes possible to improve the productivity, quality and production flexibility introducing new types of human-machine interactions that require appropriate assessment from an occupational health and safety perspective. In this context, a survey tool was developed, based on the logic of the RAG (Resilience Analysis Grid), aimed at assessing the potential resilience status of some multinational companies that have introduced collaborative robot technology into their manufacturing processes. This paper presents the results of the interviews, administered to company representatives, from which emerges the capacity of companies to learn from experience in order to be able to respond and anticipate changes, taking into consideration both positive and negative events that impact on the management of workers' health and safety.
