Metacooperative Learning: a didactic strategy for universal design


Abstract

The word “Metacooperative Learning” refers to the methodology of  Cooperative Learning together with the priciples of metacognitive didactics.. The author of the present contribution developed this approach in an exploratory survey regarding pre-school children in the years 2016 and 2017. The experience was repeated with first grade primary school children in the years 2018-2019. The article presents a reflection on metacooperative learning characteristics together with those of the methodology of Universal Design for learning by presenting an exploratory survey conducted in   primary school.
