Peer Observation: AI-enhanced evaluation


Abstract:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is also revolutionizing the construction of assessment or observation rubrics. AI-generated rubrics can dynamically adapt to teachers' needs, providing personalized feedback and promoting more targeted learning. Furthermore, AI can facilitate the continuous updating of rubrics by integrating new educational standards and teaching methodologies. The integration of AI in rubric construction represents a significant step towards more efficient and inclusive assessment.  In this contribution, we present a Peer Observation tool for newly hired university professors. The use of this AI-supported observation rubric has allowed for more accurate and fair evaluation, promoting an inclusive learning environment and enhancing the teaching effectiveness of newly hired university professors.
