Post-elementary education and social inclusion in Italy after Second World War: what kind of relationship?

Abstract:

During the last years and, specifically, the last months, public and (sometimes) academic debate has been focused again about inclusiveness in the Italian scholastic system, which is a recurrent topic throughout the history of education in Italy. Based on this perspective, the article aims at highlighting the issues that animated the Italian educational debate after World War II. The first paragraph is going to focus on inclusiveness in middle school. The second paragraph is going to deal with the event that marked technical-professional education. Eventually, the third paragraph is going to analyse a missed opportunity for inclusiveness: differential classes.
