Abstract:
The Public Speaking method and its educational application in schools, has considerable potential, not yet fully explored by educational research and pedagogical reflection. This conviction derives from the experimentation of the didactic application of this approach, thanks to a project implemented in primary schools. Objective of the present study is defining a theoretical framework on effective communication and its implications, to present the results of a research carried out on the perception and awareness of the potential of one's own voice in future teachers, the result of a survey conducted during the Primary Education Science workshops and the Specialization Course on Support for students with disabilities. As well as guiding reflection to improve aspects of communication skills, the outcomes provide a guidance for the development of appropriate methodologies and strategies for the development of more inclusive communication.
