Abstract:
In this contribution I want to outline the figure of the tutor in the training process of newly hired teachers and reflect on the bond that is established between these educational partners in a specific context, such as that of infant school. The starting point of this reflection is the reform of the training year model (as introduced by Ministerial Decree 850/2015 and confirmed in its structural system by Ministerial Decree 226/2022) which established and "regulated" the role and functions of the tutor, and then examined the existing literature, paying particular attention to the research carried out in the educational field (Cerini 2016; Fiorucci & Moretti, 2019, 2022, 2024; Moretti, 2022; Pettenati, 2022). In the last part, through focus groups and in-depth interviews with teachers/school manager of the infant school, I want to explore the "vision" that tutors have of their role, highlighting its strengths and any critical issues.
