The school-family relationship during and after Covid-19: potentialities and criticalities

The health emergency caused by Covid-19 and the drastic interruption of face to face school activities have emphasized the importance of school-family relationship, as a guarantee of educational continuity especially in the weakest age groups. Distance Learning, first, and Integrated Digital Teaching, then, required a reshaping of digital activities and, at the same time, the necessary parental involvement in the changed learning environment. This paper aims to outline the role played by families during the pandemic situation to understand how their contribution has affected the training action. Through a literature review, the intention is to draw a summary framework on the potentialities and criticalities deriving from lived experience. The results that emerged lead us to reflect on the co-responsibility between school and family with a view to educational reconstruction.
